| dc.description | The present article provides four perspectives on history and the theory of long-term structural social change. It argues how these perspectives can bring forward the work on transitions, environmental history, historicizing the Anthropocene, history from the bottom up, and plural time. The purpose is to promote greater commitment to historical thinking as a way of learning about transitions, as we move forward in the work of accelerating more equitable and lower-carbon alternative futures. | en_US |
