| dc.description | From the point of view of the convergence between Architecture and Literature, it is possible to think of The Green House (original title: “La Casa Verde”) that Mario Vargas Llosa portrayed as a construction that, in addition to interfering with the visual order of a physical space that was not suitable to house it, was also conceived as an inherent part of the social imaginary. This brothel, histrionic, controversial, noisy, emerges in Piura as the consequence of the need to ‘inhabit’ and by the frivolous and alien gaze of foreigners, who demanded entertainment and a place similar to those that exist in large cities, where they could run out the time that was left over. The result: a misconception of what is needed in Piura and what is required to be built. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Desde el punto de vista de la convergencia entre arquitectura y literatura, es posible pensar en la Casa Verde que retrató Mario Vargas Llosa como una construcción que, además de interferir con el orden visual de un espacio físico que no estaba apto para albergarla, también se concibe como parte inherente del imaginario social. Este burdel, histriónico, controversial, ruidoso, surge en Piura como la consecuencia de la necesidad de ‘habitar’ y por la mirada frívola y ajena a la realidad de los foráneos, quienes demandaban entretenimiento y un lugar semejante a los que existen en las grandes ciudades, donde agotar el tiempo que sobra. El resultado: una idea errónea de aquello que hace falta en Piura y que es preciso construir. | es_ES |
