| dc.description | In this article the author intends to demonstrate how the metadiscourses (prologues, footnotes, essays, letters) of the two most important translations into Spanish of the Huarochirí Manuscript, carried out by José María Arguedas (1966) and Gerald Taylor (1987), operate. In both works, she finds valuable insights into the translator’s task, as well as the representation that both Arguedas and Taylor constructed of the Quechua language used in the manuscript. First, this article situates the document in its context of production. Secondly, it critically examines the reflections that each one postulates about its translation. Finally, it problematizes the notion of equivalence. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | En este artículo la autora pretende demostrar cómo operan los metadiscursos (prólogos, notas a pie de página, ensayos, cartas) de las dos traducciones más importantes al castellano del Manuscrito de Huarochirí, llevadas a cabo por José María Arguedas (1966) y Gerald Taylor (1987). En ambos trabajos encontrará valiosas ideas en torno a la tarea del traductor, además de la representación que tanto Arguedas como Taylor construyeron sobre la lengua quechua utilizada en el manuscrito. En primer lugar, situará el documento en su contexto de producción. En segundo lugar, pensará críticamente sobre las reflexiones que cada uno postula de su traducción.
