| dc.description | Gloria Anzaldúa defines La Frontera as “an open wound where the Third World scratches the first and bleeds”. Borders are the product of diverse historical phenomena that Aníbal Quijano abbreviates with the term coloniality of power. Any theory of interpretation that chooses to approach the frontier must confront colonial difference. In the present work, the author grapples with the issue of interpretation when confronting La Frontera. His hypothesis is that the border demands a peculiar way of approaching the literary text. Las fronteras son el producto de diversos fenómenos históricos que Aníbal Quijano abrevia con el término colonialidad del poder. Cualquier teoría de la interpretación que decida acercarse a lo fronterizo debe enfrentarse a la diferencia colonial. En el presente trabajo, el autor lidia con el asunto de la interpretación cuando nos enfrentamos a La Frontera. Su hipótesis es que lo fronterizo exige un modo peculiar de acercarse al texto literario. A este modo particular, Doris Sommer entiende como “lectura en clave menor”. | es_ES |
